3 Falkirk Dr – Smoke In The Structure

Thursday evening Stations 227, 226, 223, 222 were alerted for smoke in the structure. Crews from 227EN investigated. 223EN arrived on scene and stood by at the hydrant. 222 & 226 staged manpower in front of the house. Crews isolated the source of the smoke to the furnace. All units were released.

458 Idlewood Rd – Kitchen Fire

On Thursday shortly before noon, Stations 227, 226, 223, 222, 196 were alerted for a kitchen on fire. PHPD arrived on scene with smoke showing. 227TK arrived on scene and crews extinguished a small fire inside the stove. Homeowner forgot there was a pot of grease inside the stove and started the self cleaning mode. The stove was removed from the house. The structure was ventilated. No injuries.

205 Key Dr – MVA W/Rollover & Entrapment

On Wednesday afternoon, Rescue companies from 227, 223, 222 were alert for a single vehicle accident with rollover and entrapment. 227RQ arrived on scene with PHEMS to find on female patient still trapped in the vehicle. The vehicle was stabilized by all 3 companies and the driver was assisted out of the vehicle.

8034 Chaske St – Kitchen Fire

On Sunday morning, stations 221, 222, 225, 227, 137 were alerted for a kitchen on fire. PHPD arrived on scene with smoke showing. 221EN2 arrived on scene and investigated. Crews extinguished the fire. 222EN & 227TK assisted in ventilation. No injuries were reported.

Frankstown @ Harvard – Accident w/Entrapment

On Friday afternoon, Rescue Companies from 227, 222, 223 were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Frankstown & Harvard. 224 Chief witnessed the accident and confirmed entrapment. Rescue 227 arrived on scene, Crews began to stabilize the vehicle. PHEMS stabilized the patient, then crews began to meticulously dismantle the drivers door. All companies worked together and the patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to a local trauma center.

208 Rodi Rd – Wendy’s – Smoke In The Structure

On Saturday morning a PHPD unit was on patrol and noticed smoke in the dining room area of a closed business. Stations 227, 225, 222, 223, 226, 196 were alerted. Units arrived on scene and we’re able to gain access into the building. It was found that the night crew had forgot to shut off the deep fryers before they left the restaurant. The building was ventilated and units returned to service.

10022 Frankstown Rd – MVA w/Entrapment

On Friday afternoon Stations 225, 227, 222 were alerted for an MVA with entrapment in the 10000 block of Frankstown Rd. While units were en route, AC911 updated units that the entrapped patient was unresponsive. 227RQ arrived on scene, crew stabilized the vehicle and quickly popped open the door with hydraulics equipment and assisted EMS with patient packaging. 225 & 227 units then started fluid containment. Units operated on scene for two hours until the roadway was reopened.

81.8MM I-376 EB – MVA W/Injuries

On Tuesday evening Rescue 227 was alerted for the area of the 81.8 mile marker of I-376 eastbound for a 3 vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer.  227RQ arrived on scene and blocked two lanes of traffic.  PHEMS and Monroeville EMS attended to patients.  Both patients were transported to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries.
