Late Thursday afternoon, four brand new 100′ sections of 5″ supply line sections where delivered to Station 227 after recent damage done to the supply line.

4237 Verona Rd – Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment
Around 12:30am on Saturday morning, Stations 225, 227 were alerted for a two (2) vehicle accident with rollover and entrapment. 227 Chief arrived on scene with PHEMS and discovered one (1) vehicle on its side and the driver leg was trapped under the vehicle. 225 pulled an attack line due to the vehicle smoking. 227RQ arrived on scene and crews stabilized the vehicle. Shortly after the driver was freed from the vehicle, crews assisted PHEMS with patient care. Two (2) patients were transported to local trauma centers. PHPD is investigating the cause of the accident.

441 Idlewood Rd – Structure Fire
Shortly before 3:30am on Friday, Stations 227, 223, 222, 226, 196 were alerted for a house on fire. PHPD arrived on scene with light smoke in then area. 227 Chief arrived on scene assuming command. Further investigation found a kitchen on fire. 227TK called on scene and began at reaching an attack line into the structure. 223EN1 secured a water supply to 227TK. 222 laddered the building, 223 assisted crews inside with ventilation. No injuries were reported, PHFM is investigating the cause of the fire.

150 Howard St – Structure Fire
On Monday, Station 225, 227, 222, 221 were alerted for a house filling with smoke. 227TK arrived on scene and crews started investigating. 225EN arrived and stood by the hydrant. 227 & 222 found a small pile of clothes that were on fire in the closet. The fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the house. PHFM & PHPD are investigating the cause

200-Blk Bramble St – Vehicle Fire
On Monday morning Stations 221, 225, 222 were alerted for a vehicle on fire in the driveway of the 200-blk of Bramble St. PHPD arrived on scene and reported the vehicle endangering the house. 227EN & 137RIT were added to the alarm. 222EN arrived on scene and pulled attack lines. 221EN arrived and assisted with a water supply to 222EN. 227EN arrived and assisted with manpower. The house was checked for any extension. PHFM is investigating the cause.

6400 Leechburg Rd – Commercial Structure Fire
On Monday evening, Stations 223, 227, 222, 226 were alerted for a house on fire with flames from the back of the house. 223 Chief arrived on scene and confirmed the fire. 227EN laid a supply line from the hydrant to 223EN. Crews from 223 & 227 conducted a primary search. Nothing was found and crews exited the building. All operations were held to exterior fire fighting. Crews remained on scene for about 3hours. During this incident, PHPD stopped and detained a driver that ran over and damaged supply hose. The driver did not have a license or insurance on the vehicle. PHPD towed the vehicle and cited the driver. According to Chapter 37, Section 3708 of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code it is illegal to drive over fire hose.

Brentmore Towers, Wilkins Twp – Commerical Structure Fire
Shortly after 9:30pm on Saturday evening, Truck 227 & Engine 227 were requested on a 2nd alarm for a confirmed commercial structure fire on the 4th & 5th floor with entrapment of Brentmore Towers in Wilkins Twp. Truck 227 arrived on scene and took a position at the “Bravo”/ “Charlie” corner and began setting up for aerial operations. Command requested T-7 make an attack on the 5th floor fire apartment. Engine 227 dropped a supply line at T-7 and laid into Engine 302 that was already on the hydrant. While crews were making the connection to the supply line a vehicle drove over 300ft of supply line cutting it. Crews disconnected the damaged sections and established a water supply to T-7. Crews extinguished the fire on both floors and assisted with ventilation. T-7 & E-7 operated on scene for four hours. According to Chapter 37, Section 3708 of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code it is illegal to drive over fire hose.
Hershey RD @ Universal RD – MVA w/Rollover
Shortly after 3:00am stations 226 and 227 were dispatched to a vehicle accident. PHPD arrived on scene and confirmed the accident, car on it’s roof, with the driver laying in the street. 227 Chief arrived on scene and began patient care as 227RQ arrived and assisted with placing the driver in the ambulance. The patient was then transported to the nearest trama unit for treatment of nonlife threatening injuries. PHPD is investaging the cause of the accident

Alcoma on the Green – Commercial Fire
On the 1514 hour stations 223,226, and 227 were dispatched for a possible commerical structure fire. 223ASST arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from side C. 223 Chief requested next due companies bringing 222,224, and 225 to the scene . Police and medics forced entry to the apartment and rescued one patient. 223EN2 crew secured a plug and laddered to the second floor. Crews made entry and recused one dog. Fire was out upon entry.

472 Guylyn Drive – MVA with injuries
Early Thursday morning stations 223,226, and 227 responded to a two car vehicle accident. PHPH arrived on scene advising EMS of injuries to both drivers. 227 arrived on scene and assisted with debris pick up as stations 223 and 226 also arrived. Units were returned back in service
