223 Stotler Rd – Residential Structure Fire

On Monday, Stations 226, 227, 223 were alerted for a residential structure fire. 227TK arrived on scene with showing from the rear of the house. Crews pulled an attack line and entered through the rear garage. 226EN established a water supply. Crews were able to get a fast knock down of the fire. 223EN arrived on scene and started ventilation. The homeowner sustained minor burns and refused EMS treatment. ACFM is investigating the cause of the fire.

10525 Frankstown Rd – MVA w/Injuries

On Friday evening, shortly before midnight. Stations 225 & 227 were alerted for a two (2) car accident with multiple injuries. PHPD & 227 Chief arrived on scene with a two (2) car accident. 227 crew attended to four (4) patient until PHEMS arrived. 225 crew contained hazards from the two (2) vehicles. All patients were transported to a local trauma center with non life threatening injuries.

11817 Joan Dr – Residential Structure Fire

On Friday evening stations 227, 222, 225, 223, & 196 were alerted for a house on fire, caller reported seeing flames from the side of the house. 227EN arrived on scene confirming smoke and fire. 222EN secured a water supply and laid in to 227EN. Crews from 227 & 222 made an attack on the fire. 225 & 223 conducted searches. The fire was under control within 20mins. ACFM is investigating the cause.

Poplar Ridge @ Universal – Possible Entrapment W/Hazards

Shortly before midnight on Thursday evening, Stations 227 & 223 were alerted for a single vehicle accident with possible entrapment and live wires down. 227 Chief arrived on scene and found one patient that was unrestrained in the vehicle. Access was gained for EMS to start patient care. 227RQ arrived on scene and crews assisted PHEMS. Wires were determined to be cable lines. Units remained on scene to assist PHPD.

2500-Blk Main St – Vehicle Into Structure From Police Chase

On Tuesday afternoon, Stations 226, 227, 223, 222 were alerted for a vehicle into a structure as a result of a police pursuit.  226 Assistant arrived on scene and found minor damage to the structure.  The operator of the vehicle fled into the woods and police were searching for the actor.  All units were cancelled.

Rodi Rd @ Tulip Rd – Rescue From Sinking Vehicle

On Friday evening, Rescue companies from 227 & 223 were alerted for a vehicle that drove into ponded water and the driver was stranded on the roof of the car. 227 Assistant arrived on scene and advised the driver of the vehicle to stay on the roof of the vehicle. 227 Rescue and 223 Engine arrived on scene and flood waters have receded and the owner of the vehicle was assisted off the vehicle with no injuries. Rodi Rd was closed down for about 45mins while the flood waters receded.

800-Blk Beulah Rd – Accident W/Entrapment

On Friday afternoon Stations 225, 227, 222 were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment in the 800-blk of Beulah Rd.  St.122 was added due to the close proximity of fire zones.  PHEMS arrived on scene and confirmed entrapment.  122RQ arrived on scene and started stabilizing the vehicle. 227RQ arrived on scene and crews started to free the patient.  After about 10 mins crews were able to remove the patient, and the patient was transported to a local trauma center.

1521 Universal Rd – Residential Structure Fire

On Thursday, Stations 226, 227, 223 were alerted for a residential structure fire.  While units were responding, AC911 received additional calls for a structure fire.  227TK arrived on scene with smoke and flames showing from the “B” side of the building.  226EN established a water supply to 227TK.  Crews went defensive.  227TK laddered the building.  Multiple hand lines were in operation till the fire was under control.  223 crew entered the house to check for extension.  During that time, a 10×10 section of the ceiling fell and hit a fire fighter from St.223.  All interior operations were stopped.  All units were accounted for.  The fire fighter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.  ACFM is investigating the cause of the fire.

300 BLK-Lott Rd – MVA W/Rollover & Entrapment

Shortly before 7 p.m. Stations 233 and 236 were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on Old Frankstown Road, a few minutes later another call to 911 placed the call possibly in Monroeville, bringing 195 and 196 on the call, police and 226 Assistant got on scene determining it was in Penn Hills, bringing 226 and 227 to the scene. Crews found a pickup truck rolled over and on a creek bank with the driver still entrapped in the vehicle. After around 20 minutes of tedious work, the driver was freed from the vehicle and placed in EMS care for evaluation. Great work to all companies on scene.

509 Lougeay Rd – MVA W/Entrapment

Around 3 p.m. on Monday, Stations 222, 223, and 227 were requested by police for a vehicle accident into a guard rail with entrapment. 227 Rescue arrived on scene to find one vehicle partially off the road way being held up by the guard rail. Crews stabilized the vehicle and assisted EMS with removing the patient. 227 Rescue closed the road way down until the vehicle was removed.
