300-bulk Lott Rd – Rollover Into Creek W/Possible Entrapment

Tuesday morning, Stations 226, 227, 223 were alerted for a single vehicle accident that rolled over a hillside into a creek with possible entrapment.  226Ast arrived on scene and found the vehicle on its roof, over the hillside in the creek.  The driver was not trapped or injuried.  227 was requested to continue on to assist with getting the driver up the hillside, all others were cancelled.  The driver refused medical treatment and the vehicle was pulled up the hillside and towed away.  The roadway was only closed for about 30mins.

Jefferson Rd @ Old Wm Penn Hwy – Vehicle Fire

On Monday morning, Stations 227 & 226 were alerted for a two (2) car accident with one vehicle one fire after striking a deer.  227EN arrived on scene with a vehicle fully involved.  Crew extinguished the fire.  The roadway was closed for about 45mins and was treated by County DPW.

409 Springdale Rd – Vehicle Into Structure

On Tuesday evening, Rescue Companies 227, 222, 223 were alerted for a vehicle into a structure.  AC911 updated responders that the driver and passenger fled the scene on foot.  PHPD & 227 Chief arrived on scene and found one vehicle hit the side of the house and traveled into the garage hitting a parked vehicle.  The parked vehicle was pushed into a wall.  The walls and garage we’re stabilized while the vehicles were removed.  The resident was not injuried.  PH CODE responded to check the building.  Once all hazards were removed the garage was boarded up and the house was secured.  The driver of the vehicle was apprehended by PHPD.

12000 Frankstown Road – commercial building fire

Early Monday morning units 222,223,226,227 the fire marshal were alerted for an outlet on fire inside an office building. Units arrived on scene to find and outlets sparking on the third floor of the building. Units later cut the power to the office and pulled the outlets securing the electrical issue. All units return back in service shortly after.

520 Rodi Rd – Accident Multiple Patients

On Saturday evening, Stations 227, 223, 222 were alerted for a 2 car accident with multiple patients and possible ejection.  227RQ arrived on scene with PHEMS and found multiple injured patients, none of which that were ejected and no entrapment.  227RQ stated to assist with patient care.  223EN & 222RQ arrived and assisted with patient care as well.  11 patient total were transported to local trauma centers with non life threatening injuries.  PHPD are investigating the accident.

344 Rodi Rd – Accident w/Entrapment

On Thursday afternoon, Stations 227, 223, 222 were alerted for a MVA with possible entrapment in the area of 344 Rodi Rd.  227RQ arrived on scene.  Crews were able to force the door open by hand to get access to the patient.  227RQ assisted with patient care.  All other units were cancelled.  4 patients were transported to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries.  The roadway was reopened after being closed for about an hour.

294 Coal Hollow Rd – Vehicle Into Structure

On Wednesday evening Stations 222 and 223 were alerted for a vehicle into a structure at 294 Coal Hollow Rd.  PHPD arrived on scene and confirmed the vehicle into the structure.  Driver and homeowner were in the front yard uninjuried.  222RQ arrived on scene and cancelled all unit.  PH FIRE MARSHAL was notified.  222RQ requested 227RQ assist with stabilizing the structure.  Traffic was detoured while units were operating on scene.  A newer model sedan ran the roadblock.  PHPD were able to get the vehicle stopped.  After a field sobriety and blood test the driver was found to be intoxicated.

6659 Saltsburg Rd – Accident w/Entrapment

On Tuesday afternoon, Rescue Companies 223, 222, 227 were alerted for a 2 vehicle accident with entrapment. PHEMS arrived on scene and confirmed entrapment. 227RQ & 223EN arrived on scene. 223 began stabilizing the vehicle while 227 started to remove the drivers side door. 222 arrived and started fluid containment. Crews worked quickly to free the driver, after about 4mins the driver was free and in the care of PHEMS, and was transported to a local trauma center with non life threatening injuries. The roadway was closed for about 45mins.

5571 Saltsburg Rd – Accident w/rollover

On Tuesday morning, Rescues 222, 227 were alerted for a single vehicle accident with rollover.  PHPD arrived on scene and found the driver out of the vehicle walking around.  227RQ arrived on scene and assisted with scene lighting and fluid containment.  222RQ assisted with debris on the roadway.

11690 Frankstown Rd – Vehicle Fire

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday, Stations 225 and 227 were alerted for a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of the Vavoline. 227 Engine arrived to find a minivan with the fire located in the engine compartment. Crews made a quick knock on the fire and cleared the scene within half an hour.
