2750 Robinson Blvd – Commercial Structure Fire

On Sunday morning shortly after 2:15am, Stations 225, 221, 227, 222, 285 were alerted for smoke in the hallway at 2750 Robinson Blvd. Additional reports from AC911 and PHPD reported a fire in the basement. 221EN arrived on scene with smoke showing from the front of the building. Crew advanced an attack line into the building. 225TK arrived on scene an was positioned in the rear of the building. 227TK secured a water supply to 221EN. 227TK crew was sent to the basement to assist 221. 225, 222, 285 began ventilation and secondary searches in each apartment. Crew operated on scene for about 2 Hours. Damage to the power service lines resulted in terminating power to the entire building. The PHFM is investigating the cause of the fire.

11680 Frankstown Rd – Commercial Structure Fire

On Sunday evening shortly before 11pm, Stations 227 & 225 were alerted for a commercial fire alarm activation at 11680 Frankstown Rd. AC911 received a call from a tenant that he was smoking in bed and caught the mattress on fire. The assignment was upgraded bringing St.222, 223, 196. 227TK arrived on scene with smoke showing. Initial crews deployed 350’ of attack line and were able to reach the fire apartment that was five (5) stories below grade. 227EN secured a water supply to 227TK. Crews from 227 & 225 were able to extinguish the fire. Crews from 222 & 223 assisted with ventilation and evacuation. No one was injured.

Long Rd @ Beulah Rd – Vehicle Into Creek w/Entrapment

Shortly before 1:20am, Station 227 & 225 were alerted for a single vehicle accident over a hillside into a creek at the intersection of Long Rd & Beulah Rd. PHPD arrived on scene and confirmed a vehicle on its side in the creek with the driver unresponsive. 227RQ arrived on scene and crews deployed a ladder for safe access to the vehicle and patient. The vehicle was stabilized and crews started gaining access to the patient. The operator of the vehicle was removed from the vehicle and crews setup a pulley system to safely bring the patient to awaiting PHEMS staff. Crews remained on scene to assist the towing company with lighting.

100-blk Ivy St, EWD – Residential Structure Fire

On Monday morning Station 137, 278, 207, 153, 171, and 227 were alerted for a residential structure fire in the 100-blk of Ivy St in Edgewood.  EPD arrived on scene with heavy fire showing from the rear of the structure.  137CHF arrived on scene and confirmed all occupants were out of the building.  137EN arrived on scene and secured a water supply.  Due to hydrant problems, command requested a 2nd alarm bringing 221, 225, 122 to the call.  Crew from all companies worked to extinguish the flames.  No injuries were reported, and the ACFM is investigating the cause of the fire,

200-blk Orchard Dr – Vehicle Rollover Into Creek

On Sunday morning, shortly before 2am Rescue Companies from 227, 223, 222 were alerted for a single vehicle accident with rollover in the 200-blk of Orchard Dr. 227RQ arrived on scene with a single vehicle accident over a hillside into a creek. The operator of the vehicle was assisted out of the creek to PHEMS. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. PHPD are investigating the cause of the accident.

3900-blk Old Wm Penn Hwy – Vehicle Over Hillside

On Monday evening, Stations 227, 223, 222 were alerted for a vehicle over a hillside in the 3900-blk of Old William Penn Hwy. 227RQ arrived on scene with one vehicle over a hillside endangering a structure. The vehicle was stabilized and anchored in place till the wrecker could arrive. PHPD arrested the operator of the vehicle after a short foot pursuit. The operator denied any injuries.

Frankstown @ Rodi – MVA w/Injuries

On Monday afternoon Stations 227 & 223 were alerted for a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Rodi Rd and Frankstown. 227RQ arrived on scene to find one vehicle into a utility pole with the driver still in the vehicle and three unrestrained occupants. 227RQ crew start patient care till the arrival of PHEMS. The driver and passengers were all transported to local hospitals.

11000-blk Frankstown Rd – Accident Pole & Wires Down

On Friday morning, Stations 225 & 227 were alerted for a single vehicle accident, vehicle into a utility pole in the 11000-blk of Frankstown Rd. 227CHF arrived on scene with a single vehicle accident with a utility pole and live wires down. The vehicle was checked and all occupants were out of the vehicle. Duquesne Light was notified. Frankstown Rd will be shut down for a minimum of 5 hours.

82 Mile Marker I-376 EB – Vehicle Into Hillside

On Thursday evening Stations 227, 122, 196 were alerted for a single vehicle accident with a vehicle into a hillside in the area of the 82 mile marker I-376 EB. 227RQ arrived on scene with a vehicle into the hillside, and the driver out of the vehicle. Upon patient assessment the driver was denying any injury. 227RQ and 227EN remained on scene for traffic control. Units were able to return to service after about 20mins.

218 Garlow Dr – Chimney Fire

On Thursday evening, Stations 227, 223, 222, 225, 196 were alerted for a chimney fire.  223EN arrived on scene with nothing showing.  227TK arrived on scene and crews went to the roof.  223 and 222 crews found a small amount of insulation smoldering.  The insulation was extinguished and removed.  225TK crew stood by in the rear of the structure, 196RQ crew stood by in the front of structure.
