10214 Frankstown Rd – Burning Odor Inside Structure

Around 1:30am Stations 225, 221, 227, 222 were alerted for an odor of something burning inside a structure.  225TK & 221EN arrived on scene and proceeded to investigate the source of the odor.  227TK arrived on scene and stood by for orders.  Command reported a problem with the furnace and all units were cancelled.

145 Selvin Dr – Kitchen Fire

On Tuesday evening, Station 221, 222, 225, 227, & 102 were alerted for a possible kitchen on fire.  While fire units were enroute, the home owner advised AC911 that the fire was out.  221EN1 arrived on scene and confirmed the fire was out.  All units were cancelled.  No injuries were reported.

801 Universal Rd – Car Fire

On Sunday morning Station 227 was alerted for a vehicle on fire in the 800-blk of Universal Rd.  PHPD arrived on scene and reported one vehicle fully involved and 2 others in danger.  227EN arrived on scene and crews quickly extinguished the flames with minor damage to the other vehicles.

80 Hilltop Ct, Plum Boro – Residential Structure Fire

At 12:01AM on Wednesday morning, Stations 233, 234, 235, 227 were alerted for a possible residential structure fire.  Caller reported an active fire in the attic area.  Plum PD & Plum EMS arrived on scene and reported smoke in the structure.  233EN1 secured a water supply.  234 & 235 crews investigated to find the source of the smoke.  227TK assisted with exterior roof operations.  The  ACFM is investigating.  No injuries were reported.

Jane St @ Fitzsimmons St – Possible Residential Structure Fire

On Sunday evening Stations 221, 222, 225, 227, 102 were alerted for a possible residential structure fire in the area of Jane St @ Fitzsimmons St, caller reported seeing large amount of flame from the rear of a house.  PHPD & 221EN1 called in the area.  After further investigation a large bon fire was discovered and all units were cancelled.

600 Woodlawn Ext, Plum Boro – Residential Structure Fire

Shortly after 3:00am on Tuesday morning, Truck 227 was requested for mutual aid for a possible residential structure at 600 Woodlawn Ave Ext in Plum Boro.  Plum PD arrived on scene and advised the structure is a large shed that was endangering a residential structure.  233 Assistant-1 then arrived on scene and assumed command.  All unit assisted with extinguishing the fire.  Allegheny County Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire.  No injuries were reported.

206 Rodi Rd – PNC BANK – Car Fire

On Thursday morning Stations 227 & 225 were alerted for a vehicle fire at the PNC Bank in the Penn Hills Shopping Center.  With additional 911 calls reporting the car fire under the drive thru roof, the call was upgraded to a possible commercial structure fire adding Stations 222, 223, 196 to the call.  PHPD arrived on scene and used a fire extinguisher to knock down the flames.  EN-227 arrived on scene with a small engine compartment fire.  Crews quickly had the fire extinguished and all units we cancelled.  No injuries were reported and there was no damage to the building.

420 Coal Hollow Rd – Residential Structure Fire

At 1:30pm Stations 222, 221, 225 were alerted for a possible structure fire at 420 Coal Hollow Rd.  PHPD arrived on scene with fire showing from the rear of the structure.  221EN1 secured a water supply to 222EN1.  225EN1 secured a secondary hydrant.  221 Chief requested 227TK1 be added to the fire and St.223 for man power.  222 Chief assumed incident command.  227TK arrived on scene and laddered the building.  All companies assisted with extinguishing the fire.

Coal Hollow @ Old Coal Hollow – Accident W/Rollover

On Tuesday shortly before midnight, Stations 225 & 227 were alerted for a motor vehicle accident with rollover in the area of Coal Hollow at Old Coal Hollow Rd.  Due to fire district lines St. 222 was added to the call.  227RQ arrived on scene with PD & EMS to find a female driver out of the vehicle and walking around.  225EN1 arrived on scene and assisted the 227 crew with debris clean up.  All fire units returned.
