Chief’s “buggy” gets some new upgrades more pics to follow.

On Friday, we took delivery of our long awaited BlowHard Fans .  These fans are battey powered, which means less set up time and no cords on the ground that could cause a tripping hazard.  One fan will be placed on Truck 227 and the other on Engine 227.

Since the temps are in the single digits, Guess the guys will have to play in the apparatus bays.

Tonight members put Truck 227 out of service for about 2 hours for regular maintenance.  All of the aerial lubricant was removed an the surface was cleaned.  New , clean lubricant was applied.  This process took about 2.5 hours, with members doing the work and not contracting a third party saved the department about $2,000.
