On Wednesday morning Stations 223 & 227 were alerted for a 2 car accident with injuries. 223LT arrived on scene and started patient care. 227RQ arrived and crews assisted PHEMS with patient care and fluid containment. One patient was transport to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday afternoon, A strong storm system moved through the Penn Hills area and brought 5 calls in 5 hrs for Station 227. Thanks to all the members for their time & hard work today.
Today was a busy day for Rescue 227 running 3 priority rescue calls in 3hrs. Snapping a 5 day call drought.
On Saturday Truck 227 stopped past the Penn Hills High School Football Field to help out with the Relay For Life. We filled the dunk tank and hung out and let people look over Truck 7. Thanks to everyone involved in this event!!!
On Wednesday evening, most of the Penn Hills area was hit by strong moving storms. Station 227 answered 15 calls for service in a 4 hour period. Thanks to all the members that assisted with the storms.
Around 2am on Sunday morning, Stations 225 & 227 were alerted for a single vehicle accident, vehicle into a utility pole. 227RQ arrived on scene to find a one vehicle accident. The driver was found out of the vehicle on the ground with severe lacerations to the head. 227RQ crew started providing patient care, 225EN arrived on scene and started fluid containment. Patient care was transfer to PHEMS when they arrived on scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital. PHPD are investigating the cause of the accident.

In the early morning Saturday hours, Station 227 & 223 were alerted for a single motorcycle accident. PHPD & 227RQ arrive on scene and found one patient unresponsive. 227RQ’s crew immediately started patient care. PHEMS arrived on scene and patient care was transfered. The patient was transport to a local trauma center where the patient later died from there injuries. PHPD & AC Homicide are investigating.

On Sunday evening, Stations 227, 223, 222, 226, 196 were alerted for a stove on fire. 227 Chief arrived on scene with nothing showing. Upon further investigation the fire was out with a smoke condition inside the structure. 227EN arrived on scene and started ventilation. All other units were cancelled. No injuries were reported.

On Sunday afternoon Station 227 was alerted for a flooded roadway at the intersection of Rodi @ Tulip Dr. 227 Assistant-2 & 227 Captain arrived on scene and found one vehicle stuck in the intersection with rising waters and one female driver stuck in the vehicle. Both officers were able to assist the driver out of the vehicle and out of rising waters. PHPD blocked the roadway till the rain subsided and the vehicle was towed.
