80-blk N Joslyn Dr – Residential Structure Fire

On Wednesday shortly after 11:40am, Stations 227 & 223 were alerted for a residential fire alarm in the 80-blk of N Joslyn Dr. AC911 received a phone call from the homeowner reporting a fire in the basement. 516FM arrived on scene with smoke showing. 227EN arrived on scene and crews advanced an attack line into the structure. They found a fire in the basement. 223EN arrived on scene and secured a water supply to 227EN. 196RQ arrived and staged for RIT. 222EN arrived on scene and started ventilation. The PHFM is investigating the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.

2300-blk School St – Residential Structure Fire

On Monday morning around 10:30am, Stations 223, 227, 222, 225 were alerted for a house on fire in the 2300-blk of School St. Additional information to AC911 reported an occupant jumping from a window. 223 Assistant arrived on scene and reported heavy fire conditions and requested a 2nd Alarm. 227EN arrived on scene and crews started deploying attack lines. 223EN, 222EN, 225EN arrived on scene. 223EN secured a water connection to 227EN. Multiple fire crews made an attack on the fire while others conducted a search. 224EN, 285SS, 233EN started checking for extension, ventilation was started a short time later. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The PHFM and ACFM is investigating the cause of the fire.

350-blk Pennoak Dr – Vehicle Fire Endangering A Structure

On Sunday afternoon shortly before 2:30pm, Stations 225, 227, 222, 223 were alerted for a vehicle on fire endangering a structure in the 350-blk of Pennoak Dr.  227TK arrived on scene with a vehicle on fire about 5ft away from the structure.  227TK crew made attack on the fire.  222EN & 225EN arrived on scene and crews were tasked to check for any extension, once the house was cleared crew from 223EN were able to start ventilation.  No injuries were reported, and the structure sustained minor damage.

2700-blk Ford Ave – Vehicle Fire

On Friday morning shortly after 2:30am, Station 223 & 227 were alerted for a vehicle on fire in the 2700-blk of Ford Ave. 223 Assistant arrived on scene with the engine compartment on fire. 227EN arrived on scene and crews deployed an attack line and started extinguishing the fire. 223EN arrived on scene and crews assisted with engine compartment access. There were no injuries reported. All companies cleared a short time later.

140-blk Rosewood Rd – Vehicle Into Structure

On Thursday afternoon, Stations 227, 223, 222 were alerted for a vehicle into a structure in the 140-blk of Rosewood Dr. PHFM arrived on scene with a full size pickup truck and landscaping trailer into the structure. The vehicle was occupied with four occupants. The occupants were assisted out of the vehicle by PHPD & PHFM. PHEMS arrived on scene and started patient care. All of the occupants later refused medical treatment. 227RQ arrived on scene. 196RQ & 221EN were added to the call. The homeowners were not on scene at the time of the accident. 227RQ crew conducted a quick primary search of the house. Nothing was found. Crews were able to safely remove two cats from the structure. Units assisted the towing service getting the truck and trailer out of the building. Units assisted the homeowner getting as many items out of the house as possible. The house was condemned by the PHFM & PHCODE. PHPD is investigating the cause of the accident.

81.8 MM I-376 EB – Vehicle Rollover

On Wednesday morning, Stations 227, 196, 122 were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover in that area of 81.8 I-376 Eastbound. 227RQ & PHEMS arrived on scene of a single vehicle on its roof. The driver of the vehicle was assisted out of the vehicle and patient care was transferred to EMS. 227RQ, 196RQ, 122RQ all took a defensive position limiting traffic to one lane for responders safety. Lane restrictions were in place for about 45mins till the accident was cleared. The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

81.8 MM I-376 WB – Accident w/Injuries

On Tuesday, Stations 227, 196, 122 were alerted for a single vehicle accident with injuries in the area of the 81.8 I-376 Westbound. 196RQ arrived on scene with a single vehicle into the center divider and started patient care. 227RQ arrived on scene and crews assisted with patient care. 227RQ and 227EN took a defensive position blocking two (2) lanes of traffic for responder safety. The patients were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

2400-blk School St – Residential Structure Fire

On Tuesday, Stations 223, 227, 222, 225 were alerted for smoke coming from a structure in the 2400-blk of School St. 223 ASST & PHPD arrived on scene with smoke showing, they found a fire on the first floor. 227TK arrived on scene and they stretched an attack line into the house and secured a water supply. 223EN arrived and crews assisted with overhaul. 222EN started ventilation. The PHFM is investigating the fire.

150-blk Orchard Dr – Residential Structure Fire

Shortly before 7:00pm Stations 227, 223, 222, 225, 196 were alerted for a bedroom on fire in the 150-blk of Orchard Dr. PHEMS arrived on scene with smoke showing. The homeowner & EMS were able to knock the flames down with some water. 227TK arrived on scene and crews were able to extinguish the rest of the fire. Crews checked for extension, none was found. The house was ventilated. All other companies were cancelled. PHFM is investigating the cause of the fire.

300-blk Pheasant Dr – Residential Structure Fire

On Thursday morning Stations 227, 223, 222, 225, 196 were alerted for a residential structure fire in the 300-blk of Pheasant Dr. 227TK arrived on scene with smoke and fire showing. Crews deployed an attack line while additional members secured a water supply. 223EN arrived on scene and their crew deployed a backup line and conducted a secondary search. 196RQ crew staged in the front yard for RIT. Crews from 222EN and 225TK started checking for extension. Fire was discovered in the walls, but it was extinguished before it could make it to the roof. The PHFM is investigating the cause of the fire.
